WIP Wednesday - Surf Quilt

When we went to the craft and quilt fair a few weeks ago, my sisters-in-law and I bought a pattern from an Aussie Designer to make a  “Surf's Up” quilt for their brother and his family who live at the beach and are keen surfers.

We picked up a few FQ of fabrics while we were there to make some of the applique pieces but have mainly just used fabrics from our stash. S and L have both been hard at work making all of the appliqué blocks and sent them over to me on the weekend.

This is a communal effort between us so this week I have done the sashing and borders for the quilt : .
And now it is all basted and ready to quilt:) Linking to WIP Wednesday At Freshly Pieced:

What a great job! I love the little car in such detail! I think its neat that you all got to worked together to make this quilt. I was looking for the finished runner, lol. But this was enjoyable too!

It is very pleasing to me to a surfboard, and the sea wave
