Just a slight variation on Fresh Sewing Day today - I am following Lynnes lead and posting a few favourites from 2012.
Firstly, my favourite quilt would definitely be my Swoon which is the largest quilt I have made so far and was an almost year long project:)
My favourite pillow was actually made from off cuts from the geese used in the Swoon quilt and quilted in a groovy orange thread.
And my favourite "other" project was this little Kitchen Mixer using a pattern by Erin at Why Not Sew? which was also my first attempt at doing paper piecing.

taking inspiration from these seems a good idea to me xx
What a coincidence! I started by Swoon quilt 2 days ago and it is the topic of my blop post today! Gorgeous quilt!
Lovely projects. Geez - you don't do things by halves do you - that is a pretty impressive first attempt at paper piecing! I see you are a Denyse Schmidt and DS Quilts fan - there is a massive sale on quilting fabrics at Spotlight in NZ starting tomorrow, I'm guessing it will be the same in Aus. Just sayin...
I'd have to say that you picked some of my favourites too. Mind you, if you put something totally different up there I would still think it as I always love whatever you do.
All stand outs! And a bit of a homage to Denyse!
Love your favourites for the year :o) Happy new year!
I like your paper piecing! I'm going to have to try that this year.

Hopped over here from Lily's Quilts. I really like your "Swoon" quilt too. It's magnificent!
Those are all beautiful! And what a great way to use the Swoon leftovers!
Your Swoon quilt is truly beautiful...and I love your pillow! I thought(after I cut my corners off all crazy and made them unusable) how I should have saved them for another project. You are just smarter than me :)
Your Swoon is beautiful!! I made my first block yesterday. I love the blocks. Yours is just striking. Well done, you! And what a bonus with that absolutely gorgeous pillow! Really - the cuts from the geese?! Ok, I'm more motivated now!
