I am very pleased to say that zippers are not that tricky after all - I don't even know why I was so reluctant to try to use them. It is not as though I ever had a bad experience with a zipper in my past unlike Ted from "There's Something About Mary" which coincidentally was on TV last week.
So this week I have cut out some more fabrics to use to make another Triple Zip pouch. I am using all sewing themed fabrics for this one as I intend to use it to keep my sewing supplies in. The main fabric is a print from the Word Play range by Michele D'Amore, along with some Mama Said Sew text prints and a red cross-hatch type print I found on sale at Spotlight to use for the linings.
It will also match the cover I made for my older Singer sewing machine some time ago too.

The cover is lovely! I need to try the zipper pouch. It looks fun
Funny! I had that same irrational fear of zippers and then once I had tackled them wondered what I had worried about.
how fun, it's going to be one lovely pouch. Good for you, showing zippers who the boss is :)
Great sewing machine cover!
Love your fabrics for the pouch!
Hee hee, just thinking about that scene in TSAM :oD Glad you're over the zip fear!
Love the cover! My machine is an odd shape with weird angles and stuff that I find it hard to make a cover for. Your next triple zip pouch is going to be great!
It will be fun to have a zippy pouch to match your sewing machine cover! Love the red cross hatch fabric too!
The mere mention of the work zip can send some people into nervous breakdown! Lots of learners get really stressed until they actually make a zippered pouch and then it is smiles all round!
Love your machine cover! Everyone keeps saying that zippers aren't that hard, I think I need to find a good tutorial.
the pouch is going to be fantastic - I love the "black and white and red all over" theme
I love your sewing machine cover!
You're on fire! Queen of the zippy pouch!
Love your new triple-zip fabrics! Very fun. Goes great with your machine cover!
