I am making a sewing machine cover for my new Singer 160 and after making a couple of some Granny Square blocks for potholders a few weeks ago, have decided to use them again for the cover as I really liked the one Debbie made for her daughter recently.
I am using some lovely "A Stitch In Color" fabric that Debbie kindly sent me, and Tracey's way of making the blocks with setting triangles again.
I really love how the bright fabric looks with ash grey! I am probably going with the layout above as these six blocks will be enough for the sewing machine cover when I join them together with some sashing

Looks great! I really like your fabric choices. I can't wait to see the finished cover.
Very pretty! I love the bright colors against the grey!
Jennifer :)
Love the colours in this line, it's going to look fab when it's done :o)
I love these blocks! Grey looks beautiful!
:-)
amazing how the grey tones the malka fabrics down - i've got a layer cake of the same so will defo be looking at grey for the solid
These look great. I can't wait to start on a granny square quilt.
This is perfect on the grey! I love how those blocks are coming together. I keep thinking I should make myself a sewing machine cover, but it might never make it on the machine. Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday!
That fabric does look great with the ash gray. That's going to be a great sewing machine cover. I've got one in the works myself.
Very nice! Sure glad you are enjoying the fabric!
