I finished sewing the binding down on the table runner while I watched the ARIA's (Australian music awards) last night and will be posting it off to my partner this morning.
And after seeing a teeny pincushion on Kristas blog a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was a lovely idea to make one to use as an ornament for the swap.
It is only 4 inches across (the granny square block was about 3 inches) and is backed in some cute christmas owl fabric to make it a bit more festive.
So this parcel will be sent off today on its merry journey to my secret partner, and will hopefully make it to her in time for Christmas

The table runner looks great, Kirsten! I just came across that teeny granny pincushion yesterday. You're convincing me that I need to make one...yours is charming!
Both projects are beautiful! Lucky partner!

Beautiful! Lucky partner!!
Gorgeous runner, and brilliant idea for the ornament.
Perfect!! I live in hope!!
Beautiful runner and the tiny granny square ornament looks fantastic! Did you use interfacing for those tiny squares? Your partner's one lucky lady!
Great runner, and love your teeny, tiny granny!
another couple of cool finishes for you -
What a lovely table runner!
And the pincushion is so cute (I love both sides :)) )
Hugs,
Tatyana

Great table runner! And I loved the pin cushion she made so much that I made my own, too.
