When I got home form work this afternoon, there was a package in the mail box containing this lovely mini quilt from Kristy (Handmade Retro). . The piecing on the mini is fabulous and it
was a huge surprise as she was my partner in the Down Under Doll quilt swap as well, so we made for each other
Kristy also included some cute ribbon and elephant fabric, along with a chocolate which was a bit on the soft side due to the 32 deg C (89F) we had here today - it is sitting in the fridge ready for later though!
I am still working on a key fob for my partner for the Mouthy Stitches swap which is the only "other" item we are able to send, and was thinking of using the same fabric as will be used for the of the bag so that they match. I have some other hardware ordered but if it does not arrive in time, I have another plan for the fob.

That fabric is gorgeous, maybe in a few weeks we can see your WIP featuring it? Visiting from freshly pieced
Your mini is lovely! I love the movement created from that outer circle! The purple binding is a great contrast to the main design too! Look forward to seeing your fob!
Lovely mini! How nice to get such loveliness in the post!
Love that mini. I know I am an epp addict now as I study these things and try to decide if I can draw up the pattern myself.
Wow, what a stunning mini!!! Your ruler twill ribbon has inspired me - I've got a little like it and shall use it to make a key fob for myself!
Very nice mini!
The mini is wonderful... Nothing better than getting a surprise in your mailbox :)
Lucky you! What wonderful mail to receive - sew pretty!!
It was very hot today but lovely to have the cool breeze at night. I have be er made a fob but they are practical.
Lovely mini...and I have to make my fob tomorrow. I don't have any webbing so hoping interfacing will do!
that's the best kind of mail
Wonderful mini-quilt and presents! That's why I love swaps :)
