Scraptastic Tuesday - Liberty Scraps

Ever since it was first released, I have wanted to make the Fancy Fox quilt in Liberty prints, like the ones used in the cover of the pattern.
So when I saw that Spotlight had a few of the Liberty prints available recently, I bought some to make the fox quilt.
There are also some beautiful sewing accessories available in the Theodora Liberty print including pincushions, sewing boxes and even a sewing machine.
From top to bottom, the prints are as follows: Phoebe, D''anjo, Thorpe, Mabelle, Fion,Tatum, Poppy & Daisy, Wiltshire, Emma & Georgi.
When making the foxes, the print squares are flipped to make the ears which are then trimmed.
These little HST are only 1.5" but I will definitely be using them for another sewing project as these Liberty scraps are so precious.

Baby Animals Plus quilt

It has been a long hot summer here and I am finding that I haven't been sewing as much but I did manage to finish off another baby quilt.
I used the "Plus quilt" pattern by Kelly at Jeliquilts again as it is such a fun baby quilt to make.
This time, I chose some cute baby animal fabrics along with a few coordinating prints and a light grey solid for the background.
And quilted again with the serpentine stitch before binding in the lime green solid.
I backed the quilt in a drill cotton so that it can also used as a playmat.
This project was on my FAL Q1 list for this year so linking up with the 2017 FAL team.
